How Webflow works, and what it costs.
Webflow is a visual website builder aimed at designers and developers, with more control than Wix or Squarespace, and more to learn. You design every page yourself, down to the spacing and the animation, or pay a Webflow designer to. Its code can be exported, but only on a paid workspace plan, and an exported site loses things like its forms.

How the numbers were worked out
UK prices, checked in September 2026. Most dollar prices are converted at about $1.26 to the pound.

- Site plans: Basic $15 a month billed yearly ($25 month to month) and Premium $25 ($39), converted at about $1.26 to the pound. Code export needs a Core workspace plan or higher, from $19 a month; exported code can’t go back into Webflow, forms stop working and CMS content exports collection by collection. A Webflow designer typically charges $1,800–$4,500 for a small site, about £1,400–£3,600.

- £59 or £129 a month, with no build fee. No minimum term. The price includes hosting, security, backups and unlimited changes done for you.

Why not just use a no-code builder like Wix, Squarespace or Webflow?
They’re fine if you have the time and the skills. You pay less per month, but the work is all yours: picking a template that other sites share too, writing every page, setting up the SEO and tracking, and making every change after that. It typically takes 10 to 50 hours to get to a first version, and the result often still looks like a template. You don’t own the site either: with most builders you can’t take it with you if you leave, and only Webflow lets you export the code.
What’s my website built with?
Most of our sites are built with Astro, a modern framework that sends very little code to your visitors’ browsers, so pages load fast. For more complex sites we use React. You’ll never need to touch the code. That part is ours to look after, and it doesn’t tie you to us: once the site is yours, after 12 payments, so are the files.
Can I host my site somewhere else?
Yes, once the site is yours: after 12 monthly payments, or whenever you pay the rest of the first 12. Tell us, and we’ll send you the site’s files with a simple handover guide. Your site is built as plain, fast files, so it runs on almost any host, such as Netlify, Vercel or your own Cloudflare account. We’ll help you point your domain at the new host, and your email isn’t affected. If your forms or analytics run through accounts we manage, we’ll move them into your name or help you set up your own, so nothing stops working. After the move, hosting and updates are yours to manage, and if you’d like help later, we can quote for it as a one-off, or you can come back to a LinnStudio plan.
